Printing Production Process

Depending on your job, you’ll need either an electronic or hard-copy proof. That will be decided early in production.

The print proof stage is your chance to review what we see in the file and give us the “yes!” we need to move full-speed ahead with your custom print project. Once the file is on press, going back is sickeningly costly, so we need to be sure that you have checked and double checked the work.

Press Check

A press check is available at your request to allow you to confirm colors and registration. Because your digital (Igen) or offset (Ryobi) printing project will be on press for only a few hours, you’ll need to be available to visit us with fairly short notice (within the hour usually). This is easiest when we’re providing local printing services to folks that are in or close to Sacramento, but the option is available for everyone.

During a press check, we cross-check the work against the proof, and the proof is always our last point of comparison. If your job is riding on this looking good, we recommend a press check!
